the best day ever

It all started last Saturday morning...early Saturday morning. I was getting pretty strong contractions in the middle of the night and by 1 am I could hardly stand it and got up to watch TV and let them pass. They didn't go away, nor did they get any closer by Sunday so, since we were going to Grantsville for a baby blessing, I called my doctor to check if it was a good idea to venture that far when I was so close to labor-mode. (Grantsville is a good 1 1/2 drive from where I live) They said even though my contractions were strong, they weren't close enough together and they wouldn't admit me until they got within 3 minutes of each other or my water broke. Anyway, I knew I wouldn't have a belly for long so, I had Jared snap a pic before we headed out the door. My last pregnant belly pic:
Sure enough, Monday morning my contractions were so strong Jared made me go in. I didn't want to because they still weren't close enough according to the nurse on the phone and I DID NOT want to be sent back home...that would just be too depressing. But, they kept me and within the hour I got the epidural (which was AWESOME since I had been hurting for 3 days) and there was no turning back. So from 1:00 pm to 8:48 pm we waited for Libby's arrival....
Me, Jared, sisters Haley & Sophie, and brother Elliott
Baby still in there...not for long....
6 lbs 13 oz 18.5 inches....all clean after 1st tubby.

First family photos

Lots of visitors: Uncle Elliott and Auntie Haley

Cousins came to say "hi" and bring yummy cupcakes.

Lovin' her Mama! (Lovin' being a Mama!)

She's sooo teensy in her car seat...and didn't mind it or the car ride one bit.

Heading home to a new, different, and better life!
I'm really so glad that Libby is finally here. I felt like I had been pregnant forever and she is so much fun and can't believe there was life before this little peanut.
Love you Libby!!!
