back from viginia and missin' my hubby again

Though a couple of days were scary because of Hurricane Hanna, my trip visiting Jared was quite enjoyable! I'm surprised every time I venture back east how beautiful and lush the land is. I love Utah but, we just don't have quite the same kinda trees goin' on. The first 2 days I was there I stayed on the Naval Base just a walk away from the beach. Jared and I walked down to check it out but, didn't dare swim because of the storm a-brewin'.

Jared was attacked by a wave shortly after writing me a cute message in the sand. Dang it...

I went to meet cousin Brynne for some lunch on Friday while Jared was in school when I got a call of panic from Jared claiming that if I didn't get there within 30 minutes they were going to close down the barracks. It was either you're in or you're out because of the Hurricane on it's way. I, obviously, freaked! How sad would that be if Jared got stuck inside and I had to spend the weekend on my own in some natural disaster! Luckily, I got there just in the nick of time. Here are some pics of doors being stacked with sandbags to avoid flooding. And all along our drive out we saw boats stacked up outside of the water so they wouldn't sink. Our half hour hotel drive took nearly 3 hours because we were on the "hurricane evacuation route".

I was freaking out. Jared...not so much. Once at our hotel, we didn't venture out far so, here's some shots of being silly while trying to pass the time. Ha.

Luckily by my last day there the weather cleared up and we were able to go to Busch Gardens which was a total blast. That place has some killer roller coasters. What was so awesome about it was the lack of crowd. We were able to ride every ride at least twice and some even more than that.

We saw these red "A's" with a hawk all over the park and thought it was awesome being the Alta High grad's that we are. ;) I never did quite figure out was they were for though.

And here's my cute doggie waiting patiently for my return. My Mom babysat and said that Coop didn't eat very well and kinda moped while I was gone. He's got definite separation anxiety. All in all it was a VERY fun and VERY needed trip to see my Lovie. I can't wait until Jared is finally home! Love ya Babe!

The A with the "hawk" is actually an A with an Eagle and it is the corporate logo for the Anheuser-Busch brewing company. They make beer and they built Busch Gardens with their beer cash. They make such classics as Bud and Bud Light.

Thanks "anonymous". We actually figured the eagle part out after awhile but, it was still fun to think it was for our high school.
