Our Final Day....

Jared left a week ago and it's been the longest week of my life. At least I made it to the one week mark...only 5 more until I go visit for 2 days and then....months and months. But, let's not think about that right now. ;) I took a couple days off of work so that we could get prepared and have some fun together before the departure. Even though, I'm a horrible bowler and usually get frustrated, I surprised Jared with an afternoon of bowling. He was very excited and it was really fun because we were basically the only one's there. And we got a little silly. And I thought about taking a picture of the score board but, it was too humiliating! I really am a horrific bowler.

This is right after Jared swore in. I'm trying to have a brave face but, you can kinda tell I'm fighting back tears. No turning back at this point. The wall behind us was really neat...lined with different flags...this pic doesn't really capture it. (And what is Jared's face?) Hahaha!

This is from the balcony of the airport. So sad. I watched as long as I could see him....and he's just smilin' away. Nervous but, excited!

It seriously took me about 5 days to bring myself to pick up Jared's clothes that were in a heap on the floor. I mainly left them for Cooper. He misses Jared so much and waits at the window for him to show up. When it turns dark outside and he can no longer see, he would walk over the Jared's pile on the floor and take a little resty. (Ok...it's not all Jared's mess. The hot pink bag. Really now. Ha.)

Looks like you had some fun before Jared left. My dog Toby still waits for Aaron to come home and it has been three months, it breaks my heart! I am excited for Jared I think he will do great, I am also excited that you get to see him for a couple of days. Good luck!

Honestly I don't know what to say to make you feel good, cause I know how hard it is and it seems no words can really help, you just want your Jared!:) But just know that we all support you! I'll have to go through it next year too when Alex goes to training so you will have to give me some tips :) I will probably go with him but I don't know yet. Stay strong and it's okay to feel sad, I remember when Alex left for training at the airport, like in your picture, you're on the stairs looking down at him and it's the last time you'll see him, it's so sad! I was bawling. It's exciting that you get to see him soon, that will be really awesome for you two. Good Luck, and we will have to hang out! Sorry this is so long!
