um.....no deal

As some of you may have heard, the show that gives out Millions came to Salt Lake City! Deal or No Deal! And after much back and forth banter, myself, my mom, and my cousins, Lindsey and Paige went to take on the crowds. People had slept outside the night before to be first in line so by the time we rolled in at 11:30am the line was INSANE!!! It wrapped buildings, crossed trax, wrapped again and then crossed a street to another parking lot. My Mom was immediatley discouraged but, we talked her into staying. After about an hour wait, this is what we beheld....

....But, we didn't let that discourage us. After another hour and a half and hardly no progress, we started losing motivation. People were saying you only get 20 seconds to say something interesting and we were all too tired and hungry to think of anything that would make us stand out from the crowd of thousands. Some people came dressed as KISS and others had sparkling painted heads. Here's what regular us looked like....

And though I think I'm pretty fantastic, I wasn't going to wait another 5.5 hours to prove it to a stranger. So, with a pregnant cousin, burnt out mom, and family pictures at 5, we called it quits. BUT, all said and done it was really good times and we're glad we at least tried!

****Something to look forward to****
Waiting in line for the Deal or No Deal casting I was reminded of my American Idol auditions. I was in LA for Season 2 and did the whole sleep in line on the streets thing. What made the trip worth it....my coveted picture with Ryan Seacrest!!!
As soon as I find it, I'm posting it for my cousin Lindsey to admire. ;)

Dude, I can't believe you stood in line! Good for you!!! I wanted to, but Andrew told me people were sleeping there and the wait would take forever. He made me a deal and said we could go get icecream instead. I said no deal, but then he threw in a back rub. I took the deal.

Hey, we're having girls night on Friday- are you going to come?! :)

You got closer to being on deal or no deal than we did...we thought about it for a second on Friday and thats it! Even a million bucks wasn't a good enough motivation for us lazy peeps to get out there! So props to you!
